PATRAM 2010 will cover a wide range of issues and Authors will be invited from July 2009 to submit abstracts for proposals for papers for formal Oral presentations on any topic relevant to the symposium, including the following:

• Package technology and design, safety assessments including criticality, risk assessment, components, materials and analytical methods

• Package manufacture and testing for all materials, including nuclear fuel cycle materials, radioactive sources, pharmaceuticals, process and decommissioning wastes

• Interim storage for spent fuel and wastes including both package and transport considerations

• Transport operations for all modes of transport - sea, land and air - including experiences, and such issues as radiation protection, emergency preparedness

• Security including package and operational impacts

Contributions also will be invited in July for Panel Sessions being planned for topics which are likely to benefit more by this approach than by formal presentations. Panel sessions will start with short introductory presentations followed by a longer period of structured discussion. Authors will be invited in July to submit abstracts for proposals. The topics currently being considered include:

• Regional emerging issues, nature, timescales, proposals

• Regulation, implementation, review, harmonisation, future trends

• Sustaining shipments, experience/database, denial and delay, forecasting, future options

• Management controls, systems, compliance, QA, audit

• Public acceptability, issues, communication, monitoring

PATRAM 2010 will have a Poster Session and proposals and abstracts will also be invited for this in July  2009.
